Car Accident Chiropractic Center in Woodstock, GA

Unfortunately, car accidents are fairly common these days. Most automobile accident victims are unaware of the damaging effects of hidden injuries. If you’ve been involved in a car accident, it’s important to seek treatment as quickly as possible after the incident. At Dr.Kristie Chiropractic in Woodstock, GA, we understand that if you have been involved in an auto accident – even one that seems minor – it’s important to have your injuries evaluated as soon as possible.
Obviously, pain, soreness and stiffness are indications of an injury. But just because you “feel fine” doesn’t necessarily mean that you are. The fact is, symptoms of whiplash may not appear for days, weeks, months or even years. And of course, the longer it takes to diagnose your problem and receive the necessary treatment, the worse the problem becomes.

Headaches affect just about everyone at some point and they can present themselves in many different ways. Some people only experience pain in one part of their head or behind their eyes, some people experience a pounding sensation inside their whole head, and some people even experience nausea, while others do not. The pain itself may be dull or sharp and may last for anywhere from a few minutes to a few days. Fortunately, very few headaches have serious underlying causes, but those that do require urgent medical attention.
Numerous research studies have shown that chiropractic adjustments are very effective for treating tension headaches, especially headaches that originate in the neck.
Each individual’s case is different and requires a thorough evaluation before a proper course of chiropractic care can be determined. However, in most cases of tension headaches, significant improvement is accomplished through manipulation of the upper two cervical vertebrae, coupled with adjustments to the junction between the cervical and thoracic spine. This is also helpful in most cases of migraine headaches, as long as food and lifestyle triggers are avoided as well.
Back pain is the second most common reason for visits to the doctor’s office, outnumbered only by upper-respiratory infections. In fact, it is estimated that low back pain affects more than half of the adult population each year and more than 10% of all people experience frequent bouts of low back pain.
Until recently, researchers believed that back pain would heal on its own. We have learned, however, that this is not true. Recent studies showed that when back pain is not treated, it may go away temporarily, but will most likely return. It is important to take low back pain seriously and seek professional chiropractic care. This is especially true with pain that recurs over and over again. Contact us, we can help!
New research shows that seeing a chiropractor relieves neck pain more effectively than relying on pain medication. The study, funded by the National Institutes of Health, tracked 272 patients with recent-onset neck pain who were treated using three different methods:

  1. Medication
  2. Exercise
  3. A Chiropractor

After 12 weeks the patients who used a chiropractor or exercised were more than twice as likely to be pain free compared to those who relied on medicine. The patients treated by a chiropractor experienced the highest rate of success with 32 percent saying they were pain free, compared to 30 percent of those who exercised. Only 13 percent of patients treated with medication said they no longer experienced pain.
