The IonCleanse® operates by converting AC electricity into low power DC electricity, which then passes through a patented electrode system that sits in a footbath. This process splits the water molecule into positively charged hydrogen ions (H+) and negatively charged hydroxide ions (OH-). These ions then move throughout the body and neutralize oppositely charged particles, which are pulled out of the body through osmosis via the skin surface in contact with the water.
